Arizona Democratic Party LGBT Caucus Update

The LGBT Caucus of the Arizona Democratic Party is about to hold its second quarterly meeting of 2009, this Saturday, May 9, in Tucson.

As you know, our purpose is to organize and represent Arizona LGBT Democrats and recruit and elect LGBT and LGBT friendly Democrats to political office. We’re just coming off a successful participation in Phoenix Pride on April 18th and 19th where we signed up over 100 new members and made a big impression with our parade entry – Barack and Michelle Obama look-alikes, with Michelle portrayed by a drag queen!

We meet each quarter on the same day as the State Democratic Party Committee meets, but you don’t need to be a member of the State Committee to join us for the LGBT Caucus meeting.

Meeting time and place: Saturday, May 9, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Amphitheatre High School, Room 213, 125 W Yavapai Rd, Tucson.

The Young Democrats will be selling a sack lunch you can carry into our
meeting.
