TUCSON (Observer Update) - Please join us for an event at Antigone Books, 411 N. Fourth Ave., on Thursday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m.
Abby Seixas will be here to discuss her book, Finding the Deep River Within: A Woman's Guide to Recovering Balance and Meaning in Everyday Life (Wiley, $14.95). Do you often feel that the headlong rush of your everyday existence is keeping you from experiencing the depth of your own life? Abby Seixas offers women a new approach to reclaiming their lives from the tyranny of their to-do lists and to finding what she calls the "Deep River" within. She believes that women need to move beyond their full schedules and instead "drop down" to look beneath the perpetual motion of their daily lives. She outlines ways to access the "Deep River" with exercises, personal stories, and clearly explained psychological principles that will hopefully make it possible to put these life-changing practices into daily use.
"Finding the Deep River Within holds the key to lasting health and sustainable joy." —Christiane Northrup, M.D., author of Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom. The reading will be followed by a question and answer period. Refreshments will be served.
