Remember when little Natalie Wood discovered there really was a Santa Claus in “Miracle on 34th Street”? Remember when George Bailey was taught by the angel Clarence that his truly was “A Wonderful Life”? Or when Ebeneezer Scrooge is over come with joy to learn the true meaning of Christmas? All these cherished moments from our favorite holiday movies will be lovingly brought back to life in song in Reveille Men’s Chorus’s holiday production “Holidays in Hollywood: A Tribute to Our Favorite Holiday Movies”. Join Reveille for a musical journey that combines state-of-the-art multimedia with the incredible sound that Reveille Men’s Chorus has become famous for, presented for you with glorious voices of Reveille in the perfect setting for a holiday concert, Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

For 15 years Reveille Men's Chorus has been dedicated to musical excellence, performing worldwide to promote human rights, diversity, and a world free of AIDS. Under the leadership of artistic director Linus Lerner, Reveille has garnered national and international recognition for their unique sound and for their outreach work in Southern Arizona, Northern Mexico, Canada, and Brazil. Reveille is proud to have been the first GLBT chorus to have performed in Brazil (where they opened the world's largest Gay Pride celebration in 2005) as well as in Mexico (where the choir performed concerts in Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City in 2007). All proceeds raised at these concerts remained with the local HIV and GLBT organizations that sponsored the performances.

This has been an amazing year for Reveille Men’s Chorus. This spring they presented their most successful concert in their 14 year history, “Dim Sum and then Some: A Foreign Affair”. Reveille invited local cultural groups representing nations from around the world to perform with them and share the unique music and dance of their cultures with their audience. The Arizona Daily Star raved, “It was an exhilarating, life affirming two hour journey ….Lerner wanted “Dim Sum” to truly send a message of diversity and unity, which is why he insisted his choristers perform in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Tahitian, among other languages.” Reveille also released their 4th CD of the same name which featured the international music from the concert. In July Reveille traveled to Miami, Florida where they proudly represented Tucson at the 8th GALA (Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses) Conference, getting national attention and out performing many of the big city choruses that were in attendance.

This year Reveille continues to focus on local outreach, accepting all invitations to sing, usually at no charge. So far this season they participated in Brazilian Cultural Week singing in Portuguese at a special concert of Brazilian music at the University of Arizona. Other outreach performances have included Tucson Meet Yourself, Pride In the Desert, AIDS Walk, TIHAN’s Musical Potpourri, and St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church. And in January Reveille has been invited to perform at a special concert in the world famous Biosphere. Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 in advance and seniors, $10 students and are available online at reveillemenschorus.org, by calling (520) 304-1758, at Antigone Books, or from any Reveille member.
