TUCSON (Observer Update) - "Turnabout for TIHAN" is one of Tucson's biggest shows. This year's Turnabout features emcees Lucinda Holliday and Barbra Seville! Turnabout is an annual fundraiser put on for TIHAN by Tucson's GLBT clubs and their bar staff. The staff request donations from their friends and customers in order to do a "turn-about" from male to female (or vice versa) then put on a fabulous show to benefit the work of TIHAN, the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network.
The theme for this year's "Turnabout for TIHAN" benefit show is "Stonewall Riot," and you can imagine the glitz, the passion, and fabulous splendor of it all! It’s one of the biggest drag shows of the year! This year’s show will take place at the Doubletree Hotel at 445 South Alvernon Way. The doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the show starts at 6:00 p.m. Tickets: $15. Admission includes hors d’oeuvres at 4:30 p.m. The evening also features a raffle with some great prizes. Come out for Turnabout, featuring emcees Lucinda Holliday ("Tucson's Queen of Comedy") and Barbra Seville ("Arizona's Entertainer Of The Year"), along with your favorite bar staff from participating bars including, Yard Dog Saloon, Woody's, IBT's, Howl at the Moon, and Colors.
For more information on how you can participate in the fun, contact Scott Blades at 520-299-6647.
