Vote NO on Prop 102 Statewide Campaign officially launched

Proposition 102, if approved by Arizona voters on November 4, will amend the Arizona Constitution by adding the following article: Only a union of one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in this state.

Yes, here we go again...another anti-gay amendment. This time, however, unlike Prop 107 in 2006, the opposition has done more than distill down the language.

They have abused the very democracy designed to protect the minority from the majority. They have failed to protect Arizona's citizens from the tyranny of the majority.

Arizona has more important issues to address

Prop 102 is a waste of taxpayers' money

A Statewide Coordinated Campaign has been established to fight against Prop 102. In collaboration with LGBT and allied organizations and individuals from all across Arizona, we are
committed to ensuring discrimination does not get enshrined in the Arizona Constitution. With lessons learned from Arizona's long history of fighting these measures, including campaigns in
1994 and 2006, we have tapped into our collective wisdom and passion for democracy to organize a campaign worthy of your support.

YOU are the campaign. Please visit the campaign website at http://eqfed.org/ct/sdMA4p11GmHJ/ today to sign-up for volunteer opportunities, to donate and to share your stories of how you are working to defeat Prop 102.

In just 98 short days voters in Arizona will have to decide whether or not we will tolerate coercion and threats used against our elected officials. We will have to decide if we will tolerate elected officials wasting taxpayers' money and not using their time wisely to take care of urgent issues affecting our state: health care, education and a growing deficit.

Enough already!

honest government, a government that does not dictate our values and a government that is fair and open in their deliberations.

Enough already!
