TUCSON (Observer Update) - On Thursday, July 31, many registered voters in Tucson, across Pima County and the state will start to receive their early, mail in ballots for the upcoming primary election, scheduled to take place Tuesday, September 2.
In this upcoming election, voters will decide who the party’s stand bearers will be for political posts, ranging from the local to the federal (Congressional) levels.
Monday, August 4 is the deadline to be registered to vote for the September primary election in Arizona. To register to vote (in Pima County) either call (520) 740-4330 or go online to recorder.pima.gov and follow the links. People across Arizona, as well as Pima County can utilize Service Arizona’s online voter registration which can be accessed from the Observer blog, tucsonobserver.blogspot.com.
Remember, to register to vote you must have a valid picture I.D., a requirement under state law. To register, one will need to put the pertinent information (driver’s license number) on the registration form.
