TUCSON (Observer Update) - Help your community by attending a free volunteer training for Wingspan’s Anti-Violence Project, Friday June 27, 6 - 9:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 425 E. 7th St. and learn how to advocate for individuals and communities impacted by violence.
This training is a great opportunity for social work students, social workers, social service providers, and generally anyone who is interested in learning more about the effects of violence within and against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer community. The Wingspan Anti-Violence Project provides 24-hour advocacy, crisis intervention, and referral services to LGBT survivors and their allies who are affected by violence and discrimination.
