Reville CD Release Party, June 29

TUCSON (Observer Update) - Reveille Men's Chorus will be hosting a CD Release Party this Sunday, June 29th from 6 - 9:00 p.m. at Color's Food and Spirits, 5305 E. Speedway Blvd.

Reveille will be celebrating the release of their fourth CD, "A Foreign Affair" which features much of the music that was a part of their critically acclaimed spring concert, "Dim Sum and then Some: A Foreign Affair." "This is by far our best CD to date," said an enthusiastic Linus Lerner, Artistic Director for Reveille. "The CD has music reflecting cultures from around the world and the best part is all these cultures can be found right here in Tucson as our spring concert made very clear."

In addition to the launch of the new CD, Reveille will also be celebrating their upcoming trip to Miami Beach in July to take part in the GALA (Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses) Conference. Over 150 GLBT choruses from around the world will be in attendance, with well over 5,700 singers. Reveille is very proud to represent Tucson at this event as they have for the past 12 years.

The public is welcome to join Reveille at this fundraising event. The owners of Colors, John Lochert and Ricardo Lujan have generously offered to contribute 25% of all drink and food sales from the event to Reveille for their GALA Scholarship Fund. "It was very important to us to make sure that all Reveille members who wanted to go to Miami could go regardless of their ability to pay," said Jeffrey Bracker, Chorus President."

“We have been busy with many fundraisers over the past few months to try and raise the money needed. We are grateful to the owners of Color's for their generosity by letting us have our party at their restaurant. Everyone is welcome and we hope all our supporters will turn out on Sunday to join for a drink and a bite to eat and support our efforts."
