Tell HHS Acting Secretary Johnson to rescind the "provider conscience regulations"!

There are only two days left to provide comments to Acting Health and Human Services Secretary Johnson supporting the rescission of harsh regulations that threaten your access to vital reproductive health care. The current regulatory language allows your health care provider to refuse to provide certain medical services on the basis of his or her own religious ideology.

Right now medical professionals can refuse to provide you with:

  • birth control pills or other forms of hormonal contraception
  • emergency contraception
  • an abortion
  • a referral for an abortion
  • an examination, if you are seeking treatment to which he/she opposes ideologically
  • a referral for any other needed medical service which he/she opposes ideologically.

President Obama has asked HHS to rescind this harmful regulation.

We need you to contact Acting Secretary Johnson today and tell him it's time for our government to focus on what's best for women.

Write to Health and Human Services (HHS) Acting Secretary Johnson's office by the Thursday, April 9th, and tell him you support ending these dangerous "provider conscience regulations" that ignore young women's access to vital reproductive health services, and the rights of other communities to access health care.

Sincerely,

Donald Hitchcock
