Announcing New Honorary Chairs

No on Prop 102 is pleased to announce that Dr. Peter Likins, University of Arizona President Emeritus, and Beth Walkup, Tucson ’s First Lady, have agreed to become honorary chairs for the campaign.

Dr. Likins and Ms. Walkup have been outspoken advocates for inclusion and equality of the LGBTQ community in Arizona . During his tenure at the UA, Dr. Likins facilitated initial discussions on domestic partner benefits for State employees and implemented tuition-waiver benefits for same-sex couples at the university. Ms. Walkup was a key spokesperson of the No on Prop 107 campaign in 2006.

Would you like to be part of the media response team (media coaching provided)? Would you like to produce a Youtube.com video or create a blog? Join Southern Arizona ’s interfaith coalition to advocate for LGBTQ inclusion and equality. This coalition is critical to the success of the No on Prop 102 campaign. The month of October will be dedicated to informing congregations about Proposition 102 and how our faith informs us about this proposition.
