Desert Voices at Saguaro Christian Church

Hello, everyone. I’m Chris Tackett, the artistic director of Desert Voices. We are Arizona’s Premier Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and allies chorus, celebrating twenty years of raising our voices in song and changing lives through the choral arts.

I’d like to invite you to join us for our last event of the season on Sunday night, the 28th of June at 6:pm. It’s a short concert and reception to thank you, our audience, for the love and support you have shown us throughout the years, to mark the end of Gay Pride Week in Tucson, and to commemorate the fortieth anniversary (to the day) of the beginning of the Stonewall Riots in New York City.

Musically, we’ll be presenting highlights from our last two shows with a couple of new surprises. The Bearatones will be there with their boas, and Alexander Tentser, our incredible accompanist, will join me for some wonderful four-handed piano.

The concert is free and open to all (donations will be gratefully accepted!) and there will be a reception featuring the considerable baking talents of the chorus after the music.

Join us Sunday, the 28th of June at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary of Saguaro Christian Church, 8302 E Broadway, Tucson AZ. I hope to see you there!
