Fabulous Faygeleh LGBT Film Festival!

The Tucson International Jewish Film Festival is proud to present the first annual Fabulous Faygeleh LGBT Film Festival. festival runs May 14-17 in the auditorium of the Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road. The Festival includes Darling: The Pieter-Dirk Story, one man’s mission to educate South African high school students about AIDS. Join Tucsonans on Sunday, May 17, at the 26th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial!

The event will take place at Himmel Park, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Speakers, musicians, and dance performers will lead up to the candle-lighting at 7:30 p.m. Faith leaders representing a variety of traditions will participate in this interfaith event. The Memorial will be family-friendly, and all are encouraged to attend. We will honor those who have been affected by HIV/AIDS and raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. For a Woody’s 80s Party - an evening of fun and bad 80s fashion! Featuring the Grand Canyon Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit the programs and services provided by TIHAN for people living with HIV/AIDS

Woody’s is located at 3710 North Oracle. Free admission. Join us for costume contests, raffles, 80s prom photos, and fun 80s music.

Pride Week – TIHAN Night at Colors Food and Spirits

On Sunday, June 21st, Colors Food and Spirits is hosting a Pride Week event from 4-10pm, 10% of all sales during that time period – meals and drinks -- will be donated to TIHAN! Colors is located at 5305 East Speedway. Come out and show your pride and support TIHAN and those we serve.

The Tucson Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Chamber of Commerce (TGLBTCC) is one of the Tucson metropolitan area's fastest growing chambers - and the only chamber dedicated to the GLBT business community and its allies. Its mission: To promote the success and growth of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied business community in Southern Arizona through education, networking and advocacy.

The TGLBTCC is also the 2nd largest chamber of its kind in Arizona with approximately 130 member companies represented by nearly 200 people. Late-Breaking News: We’re sorry to report that Larry Moore’s ICONS! benefit show at the Temple of Music and Art – previously scheduled for May 16th – is having to be rescheduled to a later date. Stay tuned for details of the new date for this classy night of celebrity impressionists on en elegant historic theater stage, presented by Larry Moore (aka Lucinda Holliday) and Arizona Onstage Productions, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit TIHAN.

As someone who has personally benefitted tremendously by volunteering my time, I urge you to do what you can to give back to your community. Volunteering helps build a stronger community, AND it also helps build a better you. Learn about yourself, meet inspiring people, gain new skills, give back to your community -- get involved, find your place, and make a difference!
