Tucson Observer: Equality Arizona Volunteers Pride 2009

Hello, volunteers!

Pride is fast approaching! Thank you to those that have expressed interest in helping. We still need YOU to make this happen! I also want to talk more about what great new things Equality Arizona has planned for Pride this year, and what we need from you to make it a success.

Festival from noon until 9pm - Sat, April 18 & Sun, April 19

The Parade - We need to Stand Together!

Now more than ever we need to Stand Together for equality. We will be marching with our politicians this year, and we need you to march with us! This isn't for Equality Arizona -- this is for you, and our community. Bring your friends and family to march with us!

The march begins at 11am on Saturday at 3rd st & Thomas and ends at the Steele Indian School Park. I'll be there to greet you! Please let me know if you'll be there, standing with us.

We still need YOUR help!

Volunteering for one or more 4 hour shifts will grant you free entry into Pride that day! Please sign up to volunteer in one of our booths -- we need you to help make this a Pride to remember!

We need volunteers for 8 booths, and this year we have some exciting new booths. Along with our Info & Sales booths, we will have a brand-new Beverage Zone. The Beverage Zone will include booths for Water & Soda, Beer, Margaritas, and Vodka mixed drinks.

Not only that, but we have partnered with Fair Trade Cafe and will have a coffee booth to keep everyone energized!

We need volunteers for the following shifts:

SATURDAY SHIFTS

11:00am to 3:00pm
1:00pm to 5:00pm
3:00pm to 7:00pm
6:00pm to 10:00pm

SUNDAY SHIFTS

11:00am to 3:00pm
1:00pm to 5:00pm
3:00pm to 7:00pm
6:00pm to 10:00pm

BOOTHS AVAILABLE:

-Info
-Sales
-Soda & Water
-Coffee
-Margaritas
-Mixed drinks
-Beer

Email me at marilee@equalityarizona.org and let me know which shifts you are available for, on one or both days, and which booths you have an interest in. You must be 21 and older to work the alcohol booths, and 16 and older (with parental permission) for all other booths. If you have any questions, please let me know!
