Jell-O Wrestling Update

Dear Community and Friends,

For the last 21 years many community members have helped to put on an annual event in an effort to raise funds and awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS and the services available through the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF).

For the last 12 years, Frank and I have been proud to be part of this important and fun event, hosting it at Woody’s with great success! I’d like to thank everyone on the committee for their continued help in organizing what has become a tradition - the annual Reno Gannon Memorial Jell-O Wrestling Extravaganza and Benefit Auction. Frank and I would also like to thank the staff at Woody’s who have been incredibly supportive of the event, understanding how much this means to us and to our friends and family.

Over the last 12 years, the event has seen much success, growing more than double - almost triple - in fundraising efforts and with a packed house every year- last year tickets were sold out within 2 days of being available; the fastest sell-out ever!

As many of you know, this event is popular for many reasons, the Jell-O wrestling being a major one! Also, the funds raised for Jell-O help to support many of our friends and/or family members living with HIV receiving services through SAAF. With the support of the committee, Frank and I decided that this is the year for change - a good change - but a hard one as well, as Woody’s has been home to this great event for more than a decade. Now we want to help see it grow to it’s full potential – thus, we’re mooooooooooooooving Jell-O!

We hope that you will continue to support this event like you always have - we certainly will! Bring your friends, bring your money, and get ready for Lucy and all the other regulars to entertain in a big way. As part of our continued commitment, Woody’s will once again be the Title Sponsor for the 22nd annual Jell-O Wrestling Extravaganza and we hope that you will be joining Frank and I this May.
