In The Old Pueblo

TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network) is seeking a diverse group of volunteers that represent a cross section of our community to join existing volunteers in meeting the program and service needs of our CarePartners, people living with HIV/AIDS. TIHAN's goal is to have our volunteers reflect the ethnic diversity of the people we serve. With your help, we will continue to grow — not to become bigger, but to become better.

TIHAN has a variety of volunteer opportunities that will allow you to give as much or as little time you can (quarterly, monthly, or weekly). We are seeking both professional and non-professional volunteers who have a sincere interest in making life better for a sometimes forgotten group of special people, our CarePartners. Please join TIHAN, Thursday, September 11, 5:15 - 9:15 p.m. at 1011 N. Craycroft #301, and make a difference!

Did you know the Arizona State Museum, is the oldest and largest anthropology museum in the Southwest, established in 1893, is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, is the state’s official archaeological repository and the largest non-federal archaeological repository in the country and is the University of Arizona’s anthropology museum and is one of the oldest research units on the campus.

That’s where we’ll be going for a fascinating intro by Maurice. The museum is located in two historic buildings on the UA campus, just east of the main gate at University Boulevard and Park Avenue in Tucson. We’ll meet Sunday, September 14, 1:00 p.m., in the north building. $3 per person suggested donation.
