In Phoenix, the Senate Ethics Committee has voted to proceed with an investigation of Arizona Senator Jack Harper (R-Surprise) over his actions on June 27 when he shut off debate and a filibuster in regard to SCR (Senate Concurrent Resolution) 1042, the proposed (now Proposition 102) state constitutional amendment to define marriage, even though state law covers this in ARS 25-101 and 25-112 and has been upheld in court.
