Previously posted in this blog was an item on Cathi Herrod, the president of the Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) the conservative, virulently homophobic organization and the proponents of Proposition 102, the proposed state constitutional amendment to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
According to their website CAP is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.
All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. So can a non-profit delve into the political arena, especially with voter guides which many of the candidates, primarily Republican, for various county, state and federal political office respond to their questions?
Anyhow, on CAP's website, they have a fact sheet on Proposition 102, supposedly espousing the truth on the measure but failing to point out that Arizona law (ARS 25-101 and ARS 25-112) which are discreetly footnoted, were upheld by those "activist" judges in Standhardt v. Superior Court.
