Replace Anti-LGBT Arizona Legislators

Every year, Equality Arizona supports legislation that would strengthen families and guarantee equal protection under the law. Every year, legislative leaders refuse to bring these common sense bills up for a vote. Every year, legislative leaders ignore the majority of Arizonans, who overwhelming support our public policy priorities, by failing to give our pro-equality bills an up-and-down vote.

Most Arizonans support:

  • Prohibiting employers, landlords, and business owners from discrimination against LGBT people in employment, housing and public accommodations.
  • Keeping our children safe in schools by protecting them from bias-motivated bullying, harassment and intimidation.
  • Granting gay and lesbian couples domestic partnership rights, including the right to visit each other in the hospital and make emergency medical decisions for each other, and jointly adopt children.
  • Prohibiting insurance companies from denying healthcare to transgender people just because they are transgender
  • Protecting LGBT youth in foster care from unfair treatment.
  • Adding gender identity or expression to existing hate crimes statute.

This year, we will hold legislators accountable. This year, you will help unseat out of touch legislators and replace them with pro-equality leaders. We must change the faces in the Legislature if we are ever going to secure equality in this state.

Please join Equality Arizona and our progressive partners as we kickoff this year's campaign season with America Votes. For months, we've been meeting with our partners to develop a statewide campaign plan to take back the Legislature.

Please attend one of the America Votes Arizona Campaign Kick Off Events and help us take back the Arizona House of Representatives.
