In Memoriam: The Fourth Amendment: By Mark R. Kerr

WASHINGTON D.C. (Observer Update) - Thanks to U.S. House Speaker Nancy "Off the Table" Pelosi (D-Verizon), House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-AT&T), House Democratic Caucus leader, Rahm Emanuel, (D-Sprint), the fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was executed by a vote of 293-129 on H.R. 6304, giving the Bush Crime Family more spying, wiretapping and eavesdropping powers plus granting immunity to the telecoms for their duplicitous actions.

For those who may not know or who will soon forget, the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution read: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Countdown with Keith Olbermann covered on their show (June 20) with noted lawyer John Dean:

Now the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution consists of nine amendments presently but the Fifth Amendment, dealing with self incrimination is in trouble.
